10:00 AM This two-part interactive series is designed to equip behavioral health professionals within the DC provider network with the knowledge, skills, and ethical frameworks needed to responsibly engage with AI in practice. Grounded in real-world case studies and participatory discussion, this series emphasizes both the promise and the risks of AI—centering the role of behavioral health professionals as leaders in shaping equitable, person-centered innovation. Part 1: Understanding AI in Behavioral Health Practice May 5, 2026 10am - 12pm (EST) Part 2: Ethical Decision-Making & Responsible AI Integration May 7, 2026 10am - 12pm (EST) *Registration will close on May 4, 2026, at 9:00am*

9:00 AM The 6th Annual Cars for Chris Car Show and Safe Driving Event is more than just a fun event—it raises vital funds for the Christopher King Foundation, helping our team speak in schools across the state of Virginia about the importance of seat belt safety. *Free entry for spectators. This session will help you encourage healthier habits, support positive self-talk, and model a more balanced, realistic approach so kids can feel good about who they are. 1:00 PM Taking a closer look at how nicotine use is changing, from vaping to pouches and dual use that can make quitting harder. In partnership with Truth Initiative, this session will break down why nicotine is so addictive, how it affects developing brains and mental health, and why many young people want to quit but struggle. You’ll also learn how to support them with practical, nonjudgmental conversations that support kids, whether it’s about prevention or quitting. The webinar is free for parents, caregivers, and professionals. Live Spanish captions are included, with full Spanish translations available the same day. 5:00 PM National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Stay Tuned for details!
